My hand reflects in the murky waters’ surface
tense, stagnant without drainage
a residue settles, solidifying
like inscriptions that protrude
as inverted letters and words on the
reverse side of October’s calendar page
A channel s forged, its interior topography
masked by the textural waters surface
as its current slowly redistributes an
archive of rocks and minerals.
that diverts water from the surface
of the forth and final layer of roof still capable of
mending eroded layers below
A barrier against the sky distinguishes land
and mediated direction
The modular furniture that divides highways
and demarcates dead ends
known as the ‘Jersey Barrier’ relocates the
engineering owned by a state and thus situates
order, orderly stacked in anticipation of a
new direction–a bridge,
better than a wall, yet demarcated by
its verticality, validated by their perpendicular axis,
unifying the above vantage point with that of a horizon
A vanishing point of speculation–
composited of all that rhythmically disappears into
the clean and glossy white boxes of the fresh
calendar page. The new month adorned with the
nostalgic black and white image of a locomotive
